Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Skateboarding Society of Kenya (SSK) platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Account Registration
You must be 18 years or older to register an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. SSK reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Donations
All donations are voluntary and binding once submitted. Donations are processed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. A receipt will be issued for every completed donation. Donors may request to cancel a pending (unpaid) donation, but paid donations are final.
Refund Policy
Completed donations are final and non-refundable. For other payable transactions on the platform (membership fees, event registrations, or merchandise), refund requests may be submitted via the refund request form and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Refund requests must include the order reference and the email used during the transaction. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. SSK reserves the right to refuse refund requests that do not meet our criteria, including but not limited to change of mind, incorrect donation amount, or failure to read campaign descriptions.
Campaigns
SSK may publish donation campaigns for specific programs, equipment, facilities, or events. Campaign creators must provide accurate information. SSK reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any campaign at its discretion. Campaign goal amounts are targets and do not guarantee that a specific outcome will be achieved.
Payments
All payments are processed through Paystack, a third-party payment processor. SSK does not store credit card numbers or raw payment credentials on its servers. By making a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms of service and privacy policy. SSK is not liable for any issues arising from Paystack's processing of your payment.
User Conduct
You agree not to use the SSK platform for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, impersonation, harassment, or distributing malicious software. SSK reserves the right to investigate and report violations to relevant authorities.
Intellectual Property
The SSK name, logo, content, and design are owned by the Skateboarding Society of Kenya. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.
Limitation of Liability
The SSK platform and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SSK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to service interruptions, data loss, or third-party service failures (Paystack, Brevo, Cloudflare, or other partners).
Termination
SSK reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these terms or is otherwise harmful to SSK, its users, or its partners.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
Changes to Terms
SSK may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
