Our Mission
The Skateboarding Society of Kenya (SSK) is dedicated to creating a new family where youth are accepted, appreciated, and allowed to express themselves unconditionally through skateboarding.

Our Journey
2010: Humble Beginnings
Founded by Leo Kilel with the vision of using skateboarding to unite youth and create a culture of freedom and inclusion.
2013: First Skatepark
Partnered with skate-aid to construct Shangilia Skatepark, East Africa's first dedicated skate facility.
2017: New Leadership
George Zuko becomes president, expanding SSK's reach and impact across Kenya.
2023: Women Rise
Launch of GirlSkate Nairobi and SheSkates Kenya, empowering young women through skateboarding.
2028: Olympic Dreams
Working towards Olympic qualification and establishing a national skateboarding federation.
